I've been in love with the Batman soundtracks for long time. They're powerful and beautiful! The original title for the first piece I did is "Corynorhinus," which is a species of bats. But the alternate title is "Surveying the Ruins." Coincidentally, as I finished up this recording, my husband and two older children were with 800 other volunteers in Midland, MI, helping to clean up from the massive damage caused by two dams failing on May 19, 2020. The home they worked on had water up to the 8ft level, leaving behind a foot of mud (plus a toad, dead fish, and lots of nasty lake smell). The lake behind their house is drained, their dock swept away.
