Harmony of the Gospels

So . . . I created a new website.

It's exactly what it says, a harmony of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, only with the ability to read all four accounts side-by-side. Each event, ordered chronologically.

For example, you can read the four versions of the baptism of Jesus right next to each other.

DETAILS:

To read this "Harmony of the Gospels," you can:

It's best viewed on Desktop instead of mobile to get the side-by-side effect.

The four books are color-coded: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

I used the KJV because I like it best. But other versions are also great and can be found at Biblehub.com and BlueLetterBible.org.

You can see in the image above that I also added in the "Bible Videos - The Life of Jesus Christ". They are wonderful and help me better visualize what happened.

BACKGROUND:

I've always considered myself a student of the scriptures. When I was 14, I took my first trip to Israel with my parents and siblings. That's when I fell in love with the Holy Land and the scriptures. When I was 24, I went back with my husband. And in a few months, I'll be there again with my kids!!!

To say that Israel my favorite place on earth is not an exaggeration. I even titled one of my original piano pieces "Jerusalem."

I love studying the words of the Savior and prophets alike, and I'm fascinated by the history of their lives. While I have a long way to go, I have a deep desire to know and understand it all.

In my study of the Savior's life, I've desperately wanted to read the gospels chronologically, and not have to flip back and forth through the four versions. Each author gives slightly different, yet vital details about Jesus's ministry. I didn't want to miss a single one.

While many harmonies have links you can jump between, I couldn't find one online where I could read them side-by-side. There are books, yes, but those felt clunky to me. Maybe online versions exist, but part of me wanted to go through the process of creating this anyway. Another way to deeply study Christ's life.

I've worked on this project for years. Yep. Years. And I've loved every minute!

My hope is that anyone who visits the website will deepen their love and connection to the Savior, Jesus Christ. He did so much for you and I. He is my everything. And I've been forever blessed to study His life in this way.

Let me know if you visit the website, have been to Israel, or if you have a favorite way to study the Savior's life!

Have a beautiful and blessed Christmas season!
